My heart begins to swell when I hear them say it ...
My heart begins to swell when I hear them say it ...
"Can you believe she's the mother of 5 boys?!"
And I smile as one adds ...
"and her two youngest are adopted."
And I snuggle into the "oohs" and "ahhs" and "wows" for a brief moment before God taps me on my spiritual shoulder to remind me that the glory is His.
It's a temptation, I'm afraid, to claim it as my own; this certain amount of glory that is placed upon the "adoption-homeschool-mom-of-
"Redeemed".
And I wonder what glory I would be tempted to claim if my life had been led down a different path. For we all have the same enemy whispering in our ear ... "you will be like God"... And now and then we start to claim what belongs to Him alone.
So I choose now to return what is rightfully His. I give him glory, for the grace He has poured into my life; that he would share this amazing gift with me, called motherhood.
