(Ya. Bummer.)
When you can't figure out where those tears are coming from, or why it was that you walked into the kitchen, and you're behind on the to-do list, and the laundry's piled high, and all you can muster up for dinner is corn dogs. When the bills keep coming in, and you know the doctor way too well, but the pain is still there, and you're buried in paper-work, and another trip out of town, and you forget to pack your pjs, but it doesn't matter because you're tired enough to sleep in your jeans?
Yep. You know it.
Yet, there is a peace.
Peace.
Because there is hope.
Hope.
A calm smile and a joy-filled heart, because you know...
He won't let go!
The circumstances don't change friends, our response to them does. The expressions on our face and the attitudes of our hearts... that is what changes. Our confidence in Christ.
Life is full, and sometimes it's hard.
But Christ still reigns!
And day in, and day out, we get to choose again and again to trust Him. To lay down our burdens and pick up our cross.
A continual response of living in the presence of God. Daily surrender.
No matter what we are facing today... Jesus is enough!

Stopped over from Veronica's today and was so blessed by your post. Things may get hard, but Jesus never changes. My attitude can always be one of praise and thanksgiving, because He is worthy, He loves me and He does not change! Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteStacy--hello! Jen Ferguson headed me in your direction. I like the look and feel of your blog--it shines for Jesus.
ReplyDeletethis post is so powerful--'living in the presence of God. Daily Surrender.'
