We are home, enjoying family, friends, and sunny California. Our trek from Texas was not without a few bumps...
The AC went out in the u-haul... but we got that fixed.
We had a blow-out on the u-haul. But Praise God no one was hurt, and it happened by a restaurant at dinner time. We ate really lousy Mexican food while we got that fixed.
Then on the last day, the AC went out in our Trailblazer. We sweated across the Mojave desert, but we made it safe and sound. Can we please get that fixed!?
Ok, maybe not.
But, after 4 days of traveling through the southwestern heat with my hubby, my dad, my 5 kids, 2 dogs, and a u-haul full of our belongings... we were greeted at our new home by family... grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. What a blessing of help and food we were showered with! And thanks to their help, only 3 days after our arrival our new home looks like this....
Ready for our first visitors...
Welcome Leaf family!
Good friends are a blessing from the Lord. A year and a half ago we were praying together over delays and changes in each of our adoptions. It was wonderful to see the fruit! The Leaf's brought home three children from Ethiopia just 3 months ago making them a beautiful and happy (and perhaps a tad bit tired?) family of 10. We were blessed to meet the new additions and spend a few days together catching up on our year apart.
Hope you've enjoyed a peek at my last couple of weeks and what I was doing while I was MIA in blogland.
